Q. I want to transfer my domain - at what point do I order hosting?
A. If you park your domain you do not need to sign up for any hosting, parking of the domain is free of charge.
Once the domain transfers, you can login, open support ticket for your domain and tell us you want your domain parked. It will display default parking page like on http://park.tiger-direct-domains.com
or you can setup domain forwarding to any live website or webpage - that is also free/included in domain registrations or domains that transfer to us
If you wanted to host real website with FTP access where you upload your pages, then you can sign up for hosting : any time either while you are processing the initial order to transfer your domain or after your domain transfers, just click on hosting buttom and the site will guide you through sign up.
