Q. 3 letter domains

A. Why does domain show available but I cannot register it? Because since over 10 years ago, most registrars blocked registrations of three letter domains. They call it reserved domains. So even if or shows available in whois, that means it is not registered to anyone but it cannot be registered because the respective registrar is not letting anyone register/use such domain. A few exceptions were seen when a Company held a trademark but in general you can assume that registration of three letter/position domains is not available across most if not all registrars.
